When was DPS founded?
DPS started up in 2005. Stephan Drake, alongside Swiss partner, Cyrille Boinay, founded DB (Drake Boinay) skis in 2003. Working out of Switzerland, DB was the first to introduce the word "Rocker" to the ski industry.

Is DPS the only Pure Carbon Fiber Sandwich ski maker?
Yes. DPS is the company making sandwich construction skis with pure prepreg carbon fiber laminates. Many ski makers claim carbon fiber skis, but these are often dry carbon laminates mixed in with fiberglass in a wet layup. Prepreg carbon is the ultimate precision construction- exact distribution of resin for the ultimate in strength and flex consistency. The highest performance structures built today, such as jet fighters and spacecraft are made using the same process.
If you see other carbon sandwich skis in a shop or in person, feel the weight difference between it and a Pure DPS ski. Also, bend and twist the ski torsionally- you will notice than many "carbon" skis on the market will easily twist just like a fiberglass, while a Pure DPS ski will feel much more solid.
What is the Rep Program about?
DPS customers spread the gospel. When you buy a pair of DPS skis you will receive a rep code that enables you to offer discounts to your friends or new customers while receiving commissions and free skis yourself. Learn more about the rep program HERE
What is the Factory Direct Demo Program, and can I try it before I buy?
For four years, DPS has successfully been fitting skiers over the internet and through phone calls. It's an easy way to buy skis, and we guarantee it through our Factory direct Demo Program. Basically you can receive your skis, ski them for a three days, and if they aren't the best skis you have ever tried since Howard Head glued metal onto a wood core, you can send them back for a full refund minus shipping both ways. Unfortunately this program is only available to North American customers at this time.
You can also visit one of our Dealers to try a pair.
Do you sell only online or through dealers?
From 2005-2008, DPS skis were only available from DPSskis.com. In 2009, launched a dealer network for select dealers across the globe. If you are interested in becoming a DPS dealer, please contact: Marshal. For a current dealer listing, click here.
Do you have a team?
DPS does not have a formal team. The DPS vision is about experience, performance and a culture dedicated to high performance charging. We were built as a design based company fueled by technically-minded skiers who embody skiing at a high level, and want the absolutely best skis money can buy. The focus is on the product and the search for deep snow. DPS customers are among the best skiers in the world, and are technically savy folks with an obsession for trick skis. DPS founder Stephan Drake is in an elite crew of the most stylish big mountain/powder skiers on the globe.
When you talk to a DPS rep to get fit with skis, you will most likely be speaking with Rob Liberman or Mike Canon who are dedicated, core, and ripping skiers. They shoot with photographers, get after it everyday, and are technically minded rippers who live and breathe the sport. The majority of ski companies don't even have degreed engineers, but DPS composite engineer Peter Turner, formally head engineer at pioneering steel ski maker Volant, is a slick skier who understands the sport, and chases Powder in Utah over 100 days a year.
