DPS Skis Lifts the Veil on 2017 Dreamtime Offerings

Special Edition and Powderworks skis available July 15 through August 1, 2017

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – June 27, 2017 – DPS, leaders in both product and culture in the snowsports domain, once again fuels the passion for skiing during the heart of summer with the return of Dreamtime – a two week-long event, which begins July 15, 2017. To help support Dreamtime enquiries and orders, DPS recently launched a revamped website. “Since 2012 we have offered a limited amount of special ski creations during the summer window. Dreamtime allows skiers to break the summer heat and act on fantasies provoked by the thought of winter; it’s a direct connection to those who live and breathe the sport,” said Stephan Drake, founder and CEO of DPS Skis. “With snow flying in the Southern Hemisphere, the pull of skiing is strong for those who chase deep powder. If you remain in the Northern Hemisphere, this is a great chance to complete, or expand your quiver in preparation for the coming season.” DPS’ 2017 Dreamtime skis, which will be available from July 15 through Aug. 1 from key retailers and online at the freshly updated dpsskis.com, represent a look into the brand’s future. Uniquely designed and constructed, these offerings are only available in limited, serialized volumes during the two-week event. Additionally, this is the only time of year when DPS offers discounted prices on its award-winning skis. Available as Special Editions, the following pure carbon-constructed Alchemist models feature topsheet art only available during Dreamtime. Generating big waves since introduction this past spring, these skis have an incredibly smooth ride thanks to new proprietary damping materials and a revised flex pattern.
  • Wailer 112 Alchemist - 178cm, 184cm, 189cm
  • Wailer 106 Alchemist - 178cm, 185cm, 189cm
  • Wailer 99 Alchemist - 176cm, 184cm
  • Yvette 112 Alchemist - 158cm, 168cm
  • Zelda 106 Alchemist - 158cm, 168cm
  • Nina 99 Alchemist - 158cm, 168cm

Three Powderworks models, which represent the most forward-thinking track from the DPS design studio, will also be available during Dreamtime. These offerings include the all-new Powderworks Cassiar 87 (178cm, 185cm), which feature the absolute latest in flex pattern design, sidecut shaping philosophy and an incredibly damped version of the Alchemist construction for ultimate firm snow performance.

Rounding out DPS’ women’s Tour1 line, and available for the first time in history, are the Tour1 Yvette 112 (158cm, 168cm) and Nina 99 (158cm, 168cm). Built with female backcountry skiers in mind, these two models offer considerable weight savings, but not at the cost of downhill performance.
