Carbon Pisteworks 79

Ski

Regular price $1,995

In collaboration with Olympic champion Ted Ligety, the Pisteworks 79 is our narrowest and tightest turning solution for on-piste skiing.

Unlike traditional metal or fiberglass carving skis, the Pisteworks 79 leverages aerospace-grade carbon technology and a proprietary carbon laminate to deliver unparalleled stability, agility, and responsiveness. The most noticeable on-snow difference from classic carving skis is that the exciting energy of the ski is not driven by high stiffness, but a compliant flex profile that utilizes high energy carbon for dynamic control.

Using advanced energy and vibration analysis, we’ve fine-tuned its power and feel to adapt seamlessly, whether carving high g-force turns or dynamically shifting directions. The Pisteworks 79 brings a new era of carving performance, delivering precision and power with a feel that's as dynamic as the skier driving it.

We recommend this ski with the DPS XVST Binding and Plate System. Learn More.

CARBON BREAKTHROUGH IN CARVING PERFORMANCE

The Pisteworks 79 represents the culmination of our expertise in carbon fiber ski construction, redefining what’s possible for on-piste performance.

Perfected by Ted Ligety

"By analyzing real-time data during turns and optimizing the feedback loop, we’ve developed a ski that delivers a planted yet thrilling ride throughout the entire turn. This ski will change your life.” -Ted Ligety

DPS XVST Binding System

We designed the Pisteworks 79 to be used in conjunction with the XVST binding system. With the high angle turning performance, and a narrower ski waist, we recommend our DPS XVST Binding System. This free-flexing X-Step plate allows for a smooth ski flex underfoot with optimal boot clearance to the snow, to maximize power in your turns.

In Collaboration with Ted Ligety

This ski isn’t just inspired by Olympic champion Ted Ligety—it’s shaped by his expertise. Throughout the development process, Ted provided invaluable feedback, ensuring the Pisteworks 79 delivers the precision and power he demands in hard-snow performance. Drawing from his years of dominating technical terrain and carving at the highest level, Ted worked with us to fine-tune the flex, energy, and feel of the ski. The result? A frontside ski that blends elite performance with the dynamic versatility Ted envisioned.

Premium Full Carbon Fiber

For decades, metal has been the go-to for stability in carving skis—but it's time for something new. By harnessing aerospace-grade carbon fiber, we’ve created an entirely new engineering process that delivers unmatched precision, responsiveness, and stability that metal skis cannot achieve. Thanks to carbon engineering, the Pisteworks 79 offers a groundbreaking frontside experience with the planted confidence you demand, and the lively energy you’ve been missing.

Dynamic Performance Solutions

In collaboration with the preeminent carbon fiber composite lab and a major US research university, we’ve integrated recycled carbon fiber and optimized ski energy and stability through sensor-based testing.

Power Management

Innovative dynamic vibration inputs, and computerized simulation outputs, creating a groundbreaking combination of the ski being both highly responsive and exciting, yet confident and firmly planted. This ski will transmit your energy to the snow in a way that only a full carbon ski can.

An On-Piste Experience Everyone Will Love

Through active and dynamic analysis of energy and vibrations, we’ve tailored the ski’s power and feel to respond seamlessly at a range of energy inputs. Whether you're laying down world-class G-force turns or casually carving your way down the mountain, our unique full carbon fiber construction delivers the stability, agility, and control you need. Its intuitive design makes high-performance carving more accessible, allowing skiers of all levels to confidently explore the thrill of precision turns.

I need these!

I'm a huge fan of DPS. I have Kaizan 100 and Pagoda Tour 112s. This fills a void in my quiver. When can get a pair of 79s on my boots to try out?

Thanks for pushing the envelope again.

Love that you kept the same turn radius for the full line of sizes...181cm carver at 13.5.... Sweet.

You guys finally did it.

Thank goodness you have created a carving ski in this narrow width. This is perfect. 👌

Carve now, surf later. Why go straight early season when you can pull G’s?

Wow big smiles!

Big turns, little turns, snappy or drawn-out cruiser turns, this ski rips and is shockingly versatile. It's smooth and precise. Playful, energetic, and stable. So easy to ski yet it will match your intensity.
